What you guys think of the Ezip and Izip Ebikes from Currietech.com ?

I have an "Ecotour" (2009) from Canadian Tire - not likely available now - and am quite impressed with it. It is on a low priced Schwinn frame, uses a 24V 10AH SLA (lead-acid) battery and Currie 450w motor (brush type I believe). It has plenty of torque from a standing start which I believe IS a safety feature in traffic rather than the pedal first stupidity. It will climb a moderate hill accelerating with a 150lb. rider. Probably a good deal at my $500 CDN - even better from Walmart US.
In comparison, a Walmart Canada Triumph 250w front hub with pedal first and 24V 10AH LiPo seems gutless. Hope this helps.
Go for the Currie system for entry level you will like it.
Do take care of your battery, don't let it sit for months.
